Implementing visuals in web content is crucial for it to be successful. Without it, you would be missing out on the potential success it can have. The reasons why it is important to have visuals in web content is because users will retain more information, it has higher chances of users initiating your CTA, and the future of web content is heading toward visual content. 

A reason why visuals in web content are important is because it is shown that users will retain the information better if visuals like infographics and videos are involved more so than blocks of text. With this in mind, there are several ways businesses can implement visual content to enhance their marketing strategies. To illustrate, a business that is trying to have users learn about a topic utilizing their website, would do better if they implemented visual content. Using circle graphs to convey data to users and using infographics instead of walls of text, will help the user digest and remember what the business is trying to convey more effectively. Visual content does increase the retention rate for users than blocks of text by 55% if text is paired with an image. 

Another reason why visuals are important to web content is because users resonate with visual content. This is beneficial because users will be more influenced to go through with your CTA with visuals that are used along with text. This is key for any business, whether they want users to buy something or click on a link, they will be more inclined to follow through with your CTA if visuals are used. To support this it is shown that implementing visuals has shown to decrease cart abandonment rates by 17% and improved conversion rates by 200%. 

Finally, visuals are important to web content because that is where the future of web content is heading. To be competitive in the current marketing and advertising environment, you must keep up with the latest trends so that you don’t fall behind and lose potential benefits and relevance. In this case, in 2024 it is shown that utilizing visual content is where the future of web content is going. For one thing, the importance of visuals can be understated as 87% of online marketers use video as a tool for marketing. What this implies is that the majority of marketers use visuals within their content. Furthermore, with the increased popularity of social media and the benefits of visuals, companies are allocating more of their resources to more visual content. As a matter of fact, in 2024, marketers are willing to spend half of their budget solely for visual content alone; which is a 9.5% increase of spending than last year in 2023. 

In conclusion, now more than ever, it is imperative for any digital marketer to implement more visual content. This is because, with visuals, users will retain your information better, and are more likely to follow through with your CTA, and the the future of web content is heading towards more visuals.
